Clown Train featuring Penelope the Clown
Every Thursday in July and August.
Come aboard with Penelope and her balloons,
balloon animals, face painting, fun & games.
Wine Tasting Train
Thursdays in July & August. Depart 5:30pm.
Swedish Hill & Goose Watch Wineries will present a variety
of wines during the trip. Cheese & crackers plus souvenir wine glass included.
Come and relax with Music by Dave Hall.
Cost: $29.00 per person

Robert Louis Stevenson Tour Train
A Historical Tour including lunch and informative talks by proprietress and Stevenson educator, Rita Leonard at The Historic Hugh M. Kinghorn Home, founder of the Stevenson Society of America and a guided tour of the Robert Louis Stevenson Memorial Cottage and Museum by internationally renowned curator Michael Delahant. Mike represents three generations of the Delahant family's stewardship of this world famous shrine and largest collection of Stevenson lore. The package price includes: Round trip train transportation from Lake Placid, buffet lunch at the RLS Tea Room, Guided tour of Stevenson Memorial Cottage and Museum Transporation to and from all venues.
10:45am - Purchase tickets or confirm reservations.
11:00am - Leave Lake Placid aboard the train.
11:45am - Arrive Saranac Lake to be taken to the RLS Tea room.
12:00 noon - Buffet Lunch and guided tou.r
3:15pm - Return to train for trip back to Lake Placid.
4:15pm - Arrive back at Lake Placid.

Take the 11am train that day depart Lake Placid.

Treasure Hunt & Craft Fair Day
Arrgh!!! Is it Treasure Yee Seek?
Well then join us every Saturday in July and August.
Get your entry form at the ticket window before the 11am train. It's free you know! Then let the quest begin. You'll be given clues at different locations around Saranac Lake. Write down the secret letters at each clue location. After you have collected all the letters, unscramble them to spell the location of the treasure. I didn't say it would be easy. There is no charge to play the treasure hunt. You can only play if you leave on the 11am train from Lake Placid. |
